Digital Humanities Engineering Center

The Digital Humanities Engineering Center, affiliated with Kyungpook National University, represents a paradigmatic convergence of computational methodologies and humanistic inquiry. Our research apparatus transcends conventional disciplinary boundaries, orchestrating sophisticated synthesis of natural language processing, algorithmic narrative theory, and cognitive architectures to fundamentally reconceptualize humanities scholarship.

Under the directorship of Heejin Kim and AI Research Hub Director Dongsuk Oh, our consortium specializes in transformer-based models, graph neural networks, and multimodal AI frameworks. Our methodological approach spans computational Shakespearean dramaturgy, adversarial training for LLM alignment, generative narrative synthesis, immersive VR storytelling architectures, and cognitively-grounded language modeling. The center's theoretical contribution lies in interrogating traditional humanities epistemologies through computational lens while addressing AI interpretability challenges, pioneering methodologies that preserve humanistic nuance within algorithmic processes.
